Nicola Sturgeon will today launch the SNP’s election manifesto, which is expected to make the case for an end to austerity across the United Kingdom.
Alongside proposals for “modest” increases in spending, the document will restate the SNP’s opposition to Trident, support Labour’s plan to cut tuition fees to £6,000 in England, back major infrastructure projects like HS2, and call for the recognition of the Palestinian state.
Sturgeon is also expected to confirm that SNP MPs will vote in Westminster on matters that have been devolved to the Scottish Parliament.

Ahead of the launch, the first minister told the Guardian the SNP planned to "change the direction of a government without bringing a government down" in the next parliament.
Her comments come after deputy leader Stewart Hosie said yesterday the SNP could vote against the spending estimates for defence if they included funding for Trident renewal – a move that could block funding for all military expenditure.
