Poll: government data not accessible

More than half of civil servants struggle to access data from other parts of the public sector, a CSW poll carried out with data management firm Listpoint has revealed.

Civil servants were asked: “To what extent do you agree with the following statement: data in other departments/public bodies is readily available and can be interpreted easily.” Just one per cent replied “strongly agree”; 14 per cent “agree”; 34 per cent “disagree”; and 17 per cent “strongly disagree”. A further 34 per cent did not know.

CSW polled 670 people.
