Unexpected "black swan" events are more likely to occur than we realise. For example, history tells us that financial downturns often precede conflicts. Due to the uncertainty and limited information available, government leaders must prepare strategies based on what seems most likely and urgent at any given time. Governments may struggle to allocate taxpayer funds to prepare for a risk that may not materialise, but the public may question why the government did not take adequate action or prepare sufficiently when unexpected events occur.
In this CSW webinar, hosted in partnership with SAS, senior government officials explore the strategies and tools available to them to be prepared for the unexpected while protecting and improving citizens' lives.
