  • Home Office
  • Patsy Wilkinson appointed as Second Permanent Secretary, replacing Olly Robbins.
  • Department for Education: Ofsted – Amanda Spielman confirmed as Chief Inspector, replacing Michael Wilshaw.
  • Department for Culture, Media and Sport: UK Anti-Doping Board - John Brewer, Justin Turner and Janice Shardlow have had their appointments as members extended.
  • Ofcom – Patricia Hodgson has had her appointment as Chair extended.

House of Commons

  • European Scrutiny Committee – Kate Green replaced Kelvin Hopkins as member.
  • Science and Technology Committee – Roberts Blackman-Woods replaced Valerie Vaz as member.
  • Welsh Affairs Committee – Chris Elmore replaced Carolyn Harris as member.
  • Standards Committee - Susan Elan Jones replaced Jo Stevens as member.
  • Privileges Committee - Susan Elan Jones replaced Jo Stevens as member.

House of Lords

  • Lord Macfarlane of Bearsden (Conservative, life peer) retired from the House of Lords on 21st July.

  • Shadow Cabinet - Emily Thornberry appointed as Shadow Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union and Barry Gardiner as Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade.

Liberal Democrats

  • House of Commons Spokespeople Team - Nick Clegg appointed as Spokesperson for the European Union

Scottish Labour Party

  • Shadow Cabinet – Ian Murray appointed as Westminster Spokesperson.

Green Party

  • Molly Scott Cato appointed as Spokesperson for EU Relations.
