Departments and agencies

  • Cabinet Office: Ian Watmore appointed as First Civil Service Commissioner; Big Lottery Fund UK – Astrid Bonfield and Tony Burton reappointed as members.
  • Department for Culture, Media and Sport: Arts Council England - Nicholas Serota has been appointed as the new Chair.
  • Department for International Trade: Martin Donnelly has been appoimted interim Permanent Secretary; UK Export Finance – Pat Cauthery appointed as Head of Aerospace and Defence.
  • Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy: Alex Chisholm has been appointed Permanent Secretary.
  • Department for Culture, Media and Sport: Victoria and Albert Museum - Martin Roth to stand down as Director.
  • Department for Work and Pensions: Health and Safety Executive – Susan Johnson, Janice Crawford, Kevin Rowan and Ken Robertson appointed as members; George Brechin and Jonathan Baume reappointed.

House of Lords

  • Licencing Act 2003 Committee – Lord Hayward stepped down.

House of Commons

  • Scottish Affairs Committee – Deidre Brock and Ian Murray replaced David Anderson and Kirsty Blackman as members.

Green Party

  • Jonathan Bartley and Caroline Lucas have been elected as Co-leader; Amelia Womack re-elected as Deputy Leader.

Scottish Parliament

  • Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee - Monica Lennon replaced Elaine Smith as member.
  • Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee – Jenny Gilruth replaced Gail Ross as member.
  • Finance Committee - Bruce Crawford replaced Michael Russell as Convener; Maree Todd replaced Kate Forbes as a member.
  • Education and Skills Committee - Richard Lochhead replaced Jenny Gilruth as a member.
  • Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee - Mairi Evans replaced Emma Harper as a member.
  • Local Government and Communities Committee - Ruth Maguire replaced Mairi Evans as a member.
  • Europe and External Relations Committee – Emma Harper and Stuart McMillan replaced Bruce Crawford and Ash Denham as members.
  • Public Audit Committee - Gail Ross replaced Jenny Gilruth as a member.

  • Health Committee – Ian Milne appointed as a member.
  • Executive Office Committee – Philip McGuigan replaced Ian Milne as a member.

  • Maidstone Council – John Barned elected for Shepway South – UKIP hold.
  • Barrow-in-Furness Council – Lee Roberts elected for Parkside – Labour hold.
  • Mansfield Council – John Coxhead elected for Yeoman Hill – Labour hold.
  • Sheffield Council – Gail Smith elected for Mosborough – Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
