  • Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs: Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board – Hayley Campbell-Gibbons to become a member from 1 November.
  • Ministry of Justice: HM Courts and Tribunal Service – Lakh Jemmett appointed to the board.

Local authorities

  • Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council – John Sellgren left as chief executive, had been suspended since November.
  • Newham Council – Katherine Kerswell appointed as interim chief executive.
  • Gedling Borough Council – Karen Bradford appointed as chief executive.

By-election result 9 August

  • Cornwall Council – Mark Formosa elected for Newquay Treviglas – Conservative Gain from Liberal Democrats. (Paul Summers died).

  • Royal Institute of British Architects – Alan Jones elected to replace Ben Derbyshire as president from 1 September 2019.
  • Association for Project Management – Debbie Dore appointed as chief executive.
  • College of Policing – Clare Minchington, Ian Wylie and Jackie Smith appointed as independent members of the board.
