Queen’s Speech date confirmed

Plan for bills will be set out on 19 June

The next government will set out its legislative plan following the forthcoming election in the Queen’s Speech on 19 June, Downing Street has said.

The confirmation of the date for the statement comes on the last day parliament will sit ahead of the vote on 8 June.

MPs will return to the House of Commons on Tuesday 13 June, with the official state opening the following Monday.
