Written by Civil Service World staff on 21 September 2017 in News

With Brexit negotiations in full swing, the editors of Civil Service World,  PoliticsHome, the Parliament Magazine, Holyrood Magazine, Public Affairs News, Total Politics, and The House have joined forces to discuss the latest political thinking from London, Brussels and Edinburgh.

An evening with the editors: Dods experts discuss public sector pay and funding

Moves to lift the pay cap for police and prison officers reveal the splits within the cabinet, argues CSW editor Suzannah Brecknelll in this extract from Dods' An Evening With the Editors. Dods' political commentators also give their insight into the impact of Brexit on the public sector, and  the pressures on public finances.

The full video includes Brian Johnson, editor of the Parliament Magazine, giving the inside track on the EU’s perception of the UK’s approach to Brexit, while Mandy Rhodes, editor of Holyrood Magazine, talks about the Scottish stance, including the possible formation of a cross party group to influence UK legislation. We also hear from David Singleton, editor of Total Politics and Public Affairs News,  on the likely winners and losers from the Labour Party conference, and Kevin Schofield, editor of PoliticsHome, and Dan Bond, editor of The House magazine on the expected leadership beauty parade at the Conservative Party conference.
