ublicTechnology, supported by Gamma, is hosting a roundtable to explore why the strategic adoption of cloud solutions is becoming increasingly important as part of the broader public sector digital transformation agenda.
Over the last few years, continued spending cuts coupled with an aging and growing population has meant that government departments have had to do more, with less. It’s a tired phrase, but one that unfortunately still sums up many public sector investment strategies.
It’s little wonder, then, that many organisations are turning to new technology to help them meet the needs of the people while keeping their operational costs under control.
A ‘Cloud First’ strategy can help organisations reduce costs, increase collaboration and enable more effective working.
Replacing old systems with cloud communications allows organisations to focus less on an austerity of resources and dedicate more time to transforming existing practices efficiently and flexibly. Although, without the correct expertise, implementing cloud communications can pose increased risks to an organisation.
Issues to be discussed will include:
- - Challenges faced in planning and managing successful migration
- - Data security – what are the real risks vs the myths and how can these be addressed?
- - Managing IT effectively – how to keep budgets low, in both Capex and Opex
- - Addressing the barriers of dealing with legacy IT Infrastructure
This roundtable is open to the public sector only. To register your interest, please contact Alex Hancock by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
