Planning for the year ahead: What you need to know now for the 2021 Spending Review

After the government implemented a one-year spending review due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Treasury and departments are already turning their sights to a full three-year review in 2021. This full review will set the direction of government for the remainder of the parliament, and will reveal much about the future of public services after Covid.

Major decisions need to be made around the resilience of public services to respond to shocks like pandemics, translating the government’s levelling-up agenda into long-term reforms, and building the post-Brexit business environment that will allow the UK to flourish on the global stage.

This webinar will look at how the government will be making these decisions, including:

  • How the Treasury will lead reform in public services to 2025
  • What departments need to prioritise in the post-Covid world
  • How new priority outcomes across government will shape reform
  • How to make smarter funding decisions across public spending areas
  • The expansion of funding for outcomes, and how will it change your work in government
