Cabinet Office: Rupert McNeil announced as chief people officer for the civil service. 

Foreign and Commonwealth Office: Alison Blake is to succeed Robert W Gibson CMG as British high commissioner to Bangladesh.

Department for Education: National College for Teaching and Leadership – Roger Pope named as chair.

Ministry of Justice Parole Board: Martin Jones joins as interim chief executive.

House of Lords: Four new crossbench peers have been announced: John Bird, Julia King, Robert Mair and Mary Watkins; Lord Hope of Craighead appointed a member of: Administration and Works, House, Liaison, Procedure and Selection committees. 

House of Commons: Liaison committee – Andrew Tyrie elected chair.

Political parties
Labour Party: David Hanson resigned as shadow Foreign Office ,inister.

Scottish National Party: Catriona Matheson promoted to head of communications in Westminster.

Devolved authorities
Northern Ireland Executive: Department for Employment and Learning Labour Relations Agency – Louise Crilly and Michelle McGinley named members of the board. 

Local authorities
Cambridgeshire Council – Gillian Beasley will become chief executive, while remaining in the same role at Peterborough Council. 

Essex Council – Gavin Jones to become chief executive from January.

Corporates
HSBC – Katja Hall appointed as head of public affairs. 
Twitter – Omid Kordestani appointed chair.

Interest groups
National Care Forum – Des Kelly to retire as director.

Scope – Mark Atkinson appointed chief executive.
