Schools inspector Ofsted has appointed two new members to its board, education secretary Nicky Morgan has announced.
John Hughes and James Kempton will join Ofsted in non-executive roles and will serve on the board for 3 years.
Hughes has been working with BP since 1990, and will step down from his role as Group Political Adviser. He has previous experience as a teacher and head of physics at a London school.

James Kempton works at CentreForum, a think tank for which he is director of social policy and education. With experience as a council leader, teacher, chief executive and management consultant, he has worked on public service reform with a focus on education and social mobility policy.
Morgan said: “I welcome the appointment of these two new board members who will use their experience to further improve education in our schools.”
