Working in Partnership with the UK Public Sector

TCS has engaged increasingly with the UK Public Sector environment and has been trusted to deliver some very high-prole, technology enabled transformation programmes in recent years:

National Employers Savings Trust (NEST)

In 2010, TCS won a signicant project with NEST to build, implement and operationally run a service to administer the next generation government pension scheme. Within an extremely challenging timeframe, TCS has implemented a new pensions’ administration system, featuring a high degree of online self-service for citizens and has also set up an operational administration service, with the establishment of a UK customer service centre. NEST offcially launched on October 11th 2011 and the scheme is expected to attract 7 million members, making it the largest dened benets scheme in the UK.

Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission (CMEC)

TCS is implementing a new business application to ensure that the correct level of child maintenance is paid e‑ciently and eectively to single parents. Our solution integrates the processes of case management, automated scheduling of payments, arrears management and civil / legal enforcement to signicantly improve the quality of Child Maintenance Enforcement, whilst simultaneously lowering the delivery cost for this critical government service.

Cardi Council

TCS is working with Cardi to help implement its strategic transformation programme. TCS is providing enabling technology to improve Cardi’s internal back-o‑ce operations and to enable improved service delivery in the front line to the citizens of Cardi. The partnership has already been proven to deliver quantiable improvements in the back-o‑ce and our joint focus is rmly on transforming citizen services.

Big Lottery Fund

TCS has built a new funding management system, which provides a scalable and exible platform to underpin the core business operations of the Big Lottery Fund for the next 10-15 years. The system caters for a user community of 1,000 and online customer access for 30,000 customers and is critical to everyday business functions.
