Celebrating excellence across government for 15 years #CSAwards

Every year, the influential Civil Service Awards celebrate the wealth of inspirational teams and innovative projects within the Civil Service - those who go above and beyond to cultivate and share best practice. We hear from Proxima, one of the official sponsors of this year's event.

As with many award ceremonies and events this year, the annual 2020 Civil Service Awards will be hosted as a virtual prizegiving, for the first time since its inception in 2006. Despite the change in format, the programme will continue to be an opportunity for Government to celebrate and highlight its achievements, while recognising colleagues and initiatives which have made an impact in the public sphere.

While the prestigious awards always take the time to recognise civil servants delivering extraordinary commitment to their roles, the impact of the ongoing Coronavirus crisis has sparked creativity and determination across Departments that we’ve never seen before. Nominees and winners across all categories have gone to unparalleled lengths in unprecedented times.

Celebrating innovation, learning and leadership

Every year, the influential Civil Service Awards celebrate the wealth of inspirational teams and innovative projects within the Civil Service - those who go above and beyond to cultivate and share best practice.

Inspirational leadership, policy and communication strategy, and digital innovation are among the talents this year’s event will be applauding, with winners showing how they’ve made their mark in the public sphere, living up to the ambition of Government work.

Driving commercial success in public services

Our very own Ed Winterschladen, Executive Vice President at Proxima, will be offering his consultancy perspective on ‘The Commercial Award’ judging panel, as part of our sponsorship of the category. Spotlighting teams with exceptional commercial skill and sound business judgement, the winner will show demonstrable results of delivering value for money for government.
