Government departments

  • Department for Transport: High Speed 2 Ltd – Gareth Epps has been appointed as an interim Construction Commissioner.
  • Department for Work and Pensions: Social Security Advisory Committee - Carl Emmerson, Dominic Morris, Charlotte Pickles, Liz Sayce and Victoria Todd appointed as members from 1st August.
  • Department of Health: Public Health Agency - Deepa Mann-Kler appointed and Thomas Mahaffy reappointed as Non-Executive Directors; Business Services Organisation - Brian McMurray, Sean Mahon, and Gerald Strong had appointments as Non-Executive Directors extended; Regional Health and Social Care Board - Robert Gilmore, Stephen Leach, Brendan McKeever, and John Mone had appointments as Non-Executive Members extended; Blood Transfusion Service - Jim Lennon reappointed as Non-Executive Chair.
  • Cabinet Office: Civil Service Learning – Crystal Akass appointed as Director of Leadership, Capability and Learning and Jo Rodrigues as Chief Operating Officer of Civil Service Human Resources.
  • Ministry of Justice: Independent Advisory Panel on Deaths in Custody - Juliet Lyon to become Chair in September.
  • Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy: Alex Chisholm and Martin Donnelly appointed as Joint Permanent Secretaries.

Scottish Government

  • Creative Scotland - Ian Aitchison, Karen Forbes, Cate Nelson-Shaw and Karthik Subramanya appointed as members.

    • East Hampshire Council – Keith Budden elected for The Hangers & Forest – Conservative hold.
    • South Hams Council - John Birch elected for Totnes – Liberal Democrat gain from Labour.
    • Cornwall Council – Maggie Vale elected for Newlyn and Goonhavern – Liberal Democrat gain from Conservative.
    • Haringey Council – Zena Brabazon elected for Harringay – Labour hold.
    • Newport Council – Carmel Townsend elected for St Julian’s – Liberal Democrat hold.
    • Sutton Council – Chris Williams elected for Carshalton Central – Liberal Democrat hold.
