As part of a new series on global responses to coronavirus, Professor Talbot talks to former MP and minister Tom Levitt about the role that companies play in driving social change, and how some firms are helping governments tackle the covid-19 crisis 

Colin Talbot is a professor of government at the University of Cambridge and Manchester. Over the coming days he will be talking to experts from across the world to learn more about how public managers are responding to the coronavirus pandemic.

Tom Levitt is a fromer Labour MP and minister. He is the author of The Company Citizen, which explores the role of the private sector in tackling major societal challenges and shortcomings of governments and civil society in addressing those challenges.
