What are you proudest of the network achieving in 2020?

Without a doubt the way my staff have responded to the challenges they have faced – the way they have worked together and achieved so much.

What was the hardest part of being a leader in 2020?

Rethinking how to do things in this strange new world we are living in, where the formal has often become less formal and the informal become more formal, balancing the “here and now” urgent with the longer term strategic and thinking about how to maintain that sense of community that is such a part of the office when you don’t have the informal interactions form being together.

What are the main challenges facing the network in the coming year?

Responding to a post transition world which will significantly change our operations, understanding what the which impacts of Covid-19 on how we work are temporary and what are permanent and understanding the full impact of true hybrid working on the way we work.

People will have to be more creative about celebrating this year. How will you make the festive period on Zoom special?

The office has kicked off a virtual advent calendar with different virtual events each day in the run up to Christmas and at home we are focussed
