US concerned by MOD plans

The United States government is concerned about Ministry of Defence (MOD) plans to outsource the procurement of military equipment to the private sector.

“We do have concerns over an option that would put contractors in roles normally filled by government employees,” a spokesperson for Frank Kendall, the US defence department’s top acquisition official told The Financial Times on Tuesday.
