DCMS appoints two new non-execs

Bankers Fields Wicker-Miurin and Neil Mendoza set to join department

The Department for Culture Media and Sport has announced the appointment of two new non-executive directors, both of whom have backgrounds in the banking sector.

Fields Wicker-Miurin currently serves on the board of BNP Paribas, among other appointments, and will also chair DCMS’s Audit and Risk Committee as well as to sitting on its board.

Neil Mendoza is currently chairman of investment advisory firm Victoria Private Investment Office, in addition to other roles – which include being a commissioner at Historic England.

DCMS said both appointments had been made following a competition overseen by Sir Ian Cheshire, the government’s lead non-executive.
