  • House of Lords: Lord Sutherland of Houndwood (crossbench, life peer) died 29 January 2018; Privileges and Conduct Committee – Lord McAvoy appointed as a member; Procedure Committee – Lord McAvoy appointed as a member; Selection Committee – Lord McAvoy appointed as a member; Services Committee – Lord McAvoy appointed as a member.

  • Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy: Nuclear Decommissioning Authority – Malcolm Morley replaced David Batters as chair of Radioactive Waste Management.
  • Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport: Ofcom – Bob Downes appointed as the first board member for Scotland.
