£278m saved on properties

Efficiency schemes have cut the government estate’s annual running costs by £278m in a year, according to a Cabinet Office report published earlier this month

The State of the Estate in 2011 also highlights how the size of the estate has been reduced by six per cent to below 10m square metres over the last year, while the target to reduce emissions by 10 per cent has been exceeded by 3.8 per cent.
