O’Brien to become new CSBF chair

Una O’Brien, permanent secretary at the Department of Health, is to be the next chair of the Civil Service Benevolent Fund.

O’Brien will take over from Stephen Laws, who retired from the civil service last month, in April. In an exit interview with CSW, Laws discussed the changing use of legislation and the Commons’ evolving approach to scrutiny.
