  • Department for Education: Office of the Children's Commissioner – Alice Mills to join as Director of Strategy in November.
  • Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy: Science and Technology Facilities Council – Brian Bowsher appointed as Chief Executive, replacing John Womersley.
  • Department for Culture, Media & Sport: BBC Trust – Sonita Alleyne, Aideen McGinley and Bill Matthews re-appointed as members.
  • Foreign and Commonwealth Office: Damion Potter has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Panama.
  • Department for International Trade: UK Export Finance - Bhaskar Dasgupta joins as Chief Operating Officer.
  • HM Treasury: Katharine Braddick has been appointed to the role of Director General, Financial Services; Financial Services Trade and Investment Board – Miles Celic and Mark Garnier MP to join as members.
  • Ministry of Justice: Judicial Appointments Commission – Lord Kakkar appointed as Chair.

House of Lords

  • Baroness Tonge was suspended and resigned from the Liberal Democrat party.
  • Finance Committee – Lord Stoneham of Droxford appointed, replacing Lord Newby.
  • Privileges and Conduct Committee – Lord Stoneham of Droxford appointed, replacing Lord Wallace of Tankerness.
  • Procedure Committee – Lord Stoneham of Droxford appointed, replacing Lord Wallace of Tankerness.
  • Selection Committee - Lord Stoneham of Droxford appointed, replacing Lord Wallace of Tankerness.

House of Commons

  • Zac Goldsmith (Conservative, Richmond Park) resigned as an MP, a by-election will take place on 1st December in which he will stand as an Independent.

Local Authorities

  • Cherwell District Council and South Northamptonshire Council – Sue Smith to stand down as Chief Executive in March 2017.

  • Denbighshire Council – Alan James elected for Rhyl West –Labour hold.
  • Rother District Council - John Barnes elected for Darwell – Conservative hold.
  • Rother District Council - Deirdre Earl-Williams elected for Collington – Independent gain from Independent.
