Government appointments

• Department for Business and Trade – DBT will become part of the new Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade
• Department for Culture, Media and Sport – DCMS to be renamed Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport
• Department for Energy Security and Net Zero: Civil Nuclear Constabulary – Steve Edwards retired as chief inspector; Lynne Ford retired as head of cyber.
• Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government – Office for Equality and Opportunity will move here from the Cabinet Office. HM Land Registry – Iain Banfield has appointed as chief executive
• Privy Council Office – Chris Bryant, Angela Eagle, Miatta Fahnbulleh, Hamish Falconer MP, Stephen Kinnock, Anneliese Midgley, Kanishka Narayan, Alex Norris and Matthew Pennycook appointed as privy counsellors.
• Department for Science, Innovation and Technology – DSIT will become part of the new Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade

House of Lords

• Anas Sarwar and Ruth Mackenzie to receive life peerages following their appointment as government ministers on 22 July.
• Lord Jopling (Con) retired from the Lords on 24 July.
• Summer recess until 31 August.

Committees

• Economic Affairs – Lord Wood of Anfield (chair) appointed as a minister – a new chair will be appointed following the summer recess.
• European Affairs – Baroness Gustafsson added; Baroness Brown of Silvertown discharged.

Devolved administrations

Scottish Parliament

• Summer recess until 30 August.
• Anas Sarwar to receive life peerage following his appointment as a government minister in Westminster on 22 July. He will stand down as MSP.

Scottish Government

• NHS Orkney Board – Hayley Green, Michael Morrison and Lynne Spence appointed as members for four years until 19 July 2030.

Welsh Parliament

• Summer recess until 13 September.

Welsh Government

• Welsh Revenue Authority – Ruth Glazzard re-appointed as chair until October 2030.
• Social Partnership Council – Sarah Davies, Laura Doel, Professor Elwen Evans and Nicola Williams appointed as members, replacing Peter Hughes, Professor Wendy Larner, Shavannah Taj and Helen Whyley.

Northern Ireland Assembly

• Summer recess until 30 August.

Northern Ireland Ambulance Service – Jenny Keane appointed as chief executive.
