  • Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office: Westminster Foundation for Democracy – James Deane appointed as independent governor to the board for three years until 18 December 2026.
  • Department of Health and Social Care: Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman – Amerdeep Somal appointed as ombudsman.
  • Ministry of Justice – Sir Bob Neil appointed as honorary King’s Counsel (KC Hons). HM Inspectorate of Probation – Martin Jones appointed as His Majesty’s chief inspector of probation for three years from 1 March. Law Officers  Robert Courts was sworn in as His Majesty’s solicitor general on 22 January and appointed to the rank and office of King’s Counsel.
  • Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities – Adam Hawksbee appointed as interim chair of the Towns Unit. Eleanor Brazil appointed as children’s services lead on the London Borough of Croydon Improvement and Assurance Panel.
  • Department for Transport: Traffic Commissioners for Great Britain – Gerallt Evans to retire as traffic commissioner for the North-West of England on 31 January; he will continue as deputy traffic commissioner; Claire Gilmore to stand down as traffic commissioner for Scotland from May; Kenneth Young appointed as deputy traffic commissioner for Scotland.
