The Civil Service Sports Council has appointed a new chief executive.
The member-led organisation, which works in partnership with the civil service and public sector to improve colleagues’ health and wellbeing, has recruited Peter Worster as its new boss.
Worster replaces Matt Bazeley, who has become chief exec of the Forces Employment Charity after three-and-a-half years at the CSSC.
The CSSC said Worster will help it to "accelerate growth, strengthen its member offering, and continue its mission to provide affordable, accessible and sustainable health and wellbeing opportunities for the civil service and public sector".
Worster has over 25 years of experience in managing and building communities across public and private businesses and enterprises. He most recently worked as chief operating officer at Boundless, an experiences club for civil service and wider public sector members.
The CSSC said Worster's work at Boundless saw him "increase member recruitment, maintain retention, and strengthen both the commercial and operating model".
Worster also previously led the expansion of the Ikea Family loyalty card system into a global community of over 70 million members.
In the non-profit sector, he chaired governance and cultural change at Age UK Brighton & Hove, culminating in a successful organisational merger.
